Bracco Diagnostics Inc. (BDI), the US-based subsidiary of Bracco Imaging SpA, one of the world leading companies in the imaging agent business and part of the Bracco Group, was presented with a 2007 Supplier Award by Cardinal Health, a global health care provider of products and services for improving the safety and productivity of the health care industry.
Denise Odenkirk, BDI Vice President, Operations and Information Services was presented with this first time Supplier Quality Award achievement during Cardinal Health's management conference held on October 9, 2007 in Columbus, Ohio. "Bracco Imaging's participation in Cardinal Health's state of the art National Logistics Center supports inventory efficiencies and streamlines operational procedures," stated Odenkirk. "Our backhaul use of their logistics provider allows both parties to drive out costs in moving inventory."
This past year, Cardinal Health reported a significant reduction in supplier back orders which resulted in a sizeable increase in customer service levels1. These reports also showed a considerable decrease in overall lead-times, shortage claims and unnecessary inventory.
BDI works closely with customers to streamline supply chain processes to eliminate the inefficiencies and costs of receiving, maintaining and distributing inventory to multiple sites, bringing additional value to customers.
